From Twin Arch Motel to Twin Arch Apartments

2019-02-09 06.43.51

Formally known as the Twin Arch Motel, this property has a rich history in Fayetteville Arkansas as a 1950s type motor inn and was a favorite of those traveling to/from Kansas City and visiting the University of Arkansas & Razorback events. A 2011 fire and its extensive smoke damage caused the owners of the hotel to abandon the idea of bringing the property back as a motel and so started to find buyers. After a series of sales, in 2016 Mark Zweig purchased the property with the intention of building upscale apartments that would be unique for Fayetteville; starting the project later that year. In 2009 the City of Fayetteville had begun efforts to revitalize and improve College Ave with streetscapes, wider sidewalks, and burying overhead utility lines along College Ave (then 71B). The project continued between Maple and North Streets in 2017, which included the area of Twin Arch Apartment. The City project has created a “community feel” for the area and a safer environment for walking and traveling from Twin Arch to the medical centers north and immediately south to the shopping, entertainment, cultural areas of Dickson Street, and further to our downtown square.  In 2019 DCC Management purchased the project from Mark Zweig and Sonya Stoud finishing their vision for the project and creating a one of a kind experience for Fayetteville.
